Hello from funeral link!

A warm welcome to our website. Funeral link is a new service based in the Scotty Centre, Albert Street in Dundee.

My name is Linda Sterry and I’m the Service Manager for funeral link.  I have a team of two Support Coordinators (Doreen and Barbara) and a hard working backstage team. We all started in our posts in November 2018 and are governed by a board of six trustees chaired by Mary Kinninmonth. We were established as a SCIO in October 2018 and have Scottish Government/EU Social Innovation phase 2 funding secured until June 2019.

We have two main strands to our work:

  1. To prevent funeral poverty in the Dundee area by offering confidential support and helping our community make the right choices for them around funerals that they can afford for their loved ones.
  2. To promote dialogue in preparation for funeral planning so individuals and families in our community are better prepared.

We aim to assist those within the Dundee community with all things related to funerals.

Partnership working is vital to the success and sustainability of our work so we encourage locally based organisations to work with us to achieve more for our community.

Individuals and families needing our help can be referred to us by local partners or make contact directly by phoning us on 01382 458800, emailing us on support@dfss.org.uk or dropping us a private message via Facebook.  Please like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter to keep up with our work.
